The road to the MSI MGA (Masters Gaming Arena) Grand Finals at PAX Prime in Seattle is heating up as MVP Black earns the first invite by winning the MSI MGA Heroes of the Storm Asia (Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau) Qualifier.
Having been one of the seeded teams for day 2 MVP Black started their campaign against Taiwan's Fantasy Excalibur who they beat 2-0. They continued against South Korea's HerO in the semifinals, this match also ended in a 2-0 win for MVP Black. All that was left for them was the Final against their fellow seeded opponent, Team No Limit, who overcame BM1 and Team Snake.
Game 1 of the Final went MVP Black's favor as they cruised to a 13-3 win in less than 17 minutes. Game 2 was mired in delays and connection problems and had to be remade, MVP Black was not able to capitalize on their momentum leading to Team No Limit to take advantage steal a win after a close 23 minute game. The deciding Game 3 was all MVP Black's as they again stamped their dominance and ended the game 18-3 in 15 minutes.
