The MSI MGA (Masters Gaming Arena) Heroes of the Storm China Qualifier has finally gone and eStar has proved to be victorious defeating EDward Ganing HotS 2-0 in the finals. EDG was not able to shake its hoodoo as eStar has beaten them in all of their last 5 matches. This means that eStar will be joining MVP Black as the 2nd invited team to the MSI MGA Heroes of the Storm Finals in Seattle at PAX PRIME this August 28-31.
The MSI MGA Qualifier saw 15 teams vying for 1 invite slot and it did not fail to satisfy viewers as there were top plays and and team wipes even during the first round. With top teams such as Newbee and Brave Heart playing since the first round, the qualifier proved to be a heated event. The top 4 seeded teams proved to be dominant in the quarter-finals as all 4 of them proceeded to the semis.
This leaves us with the EU, NA, and SEA qualifiers as teams from these regions battle it out for the 5 remaining slots for the Grand Finals in Seattle at PAX PRIME.
The overall champion will qualify for the overall MSI Masters Gaming Arena grand finals to be held in Seattle, USA later this year, as part of PAX Prime 2015.
