The MSI MGA Heroes of the Storm Qualifiers has officially come to a close with the conclusion of the Americas qualifier.
Day 2 proved to be an intense affair as 2Arc was able to defeat 4th seeded team Complexity gaming setting up their match between Tempo Storm. Things looked bright for 2Arc in the first game of their best of 5 as they took away game 1 against Tempo Storm, arguably the #1 NA team at the moment. This did not last however as Tempo Storm, showing their experience, leveled the series and eventually won it 3 games to 1.
On the other side of the brackets COGnitive Gaming won against Team Blaze setting up their Semi-final match against Cloud 9 Maelstrom, who won against Goon Squad. COGnitive gaming was able to take Game 1 of their best of 5 series but Cloud 9 Maelstrom was able to regroup and win the series 3 games to 1.
This means that both Tempo Storm and Cloud 9 Maelstrom will be joining 5 other qualified teams from SEA/Oceania, Europe, Korea/Taiwan/HK/Macau, as well as China in the Grand Finals at Pax Prime.
