The second day of the Starcraft II tournament at PAX Prime 2015 has begun!
With the start of the Ro8 games, the top Protoss of Jin Air Green Wings, sOs, compete against the top Korean Zerg player that is based overseas, whom is viOLet. In the first round, ViOLet had an early advantage that was lost against sOs after a lack of control over the aggressive playstyles, resulting in his first loss. It was followed up by a complete turnover in terms of strategy in the second map, with sOs qualifying into the top 4 with a score of 2:0.
The second Ro8 games let us see the top Terran player of SKT1, INnoVation, going up against the Zerg player, Hyun, from Roccat, and with similar results in the previous game, Hyun lost his first map against INnoVation with a counter-strategy that reduce any possible advantage Hyun had against his opponent, and with the atmosphere changed, INnoVation secured his slot in the top 4 with a score of 2:0 against Hyun.
The first round of the Ro4 allowed us to see former 2nd place, PartinG from YoeFlashWolves, a Protoss player, competing against former MSI Zerg champion, Solar, and to see the match being re-played first at the MSI Masters Gaming Arena event. PartinG starts the BO3 with a first round victory against Solar, but in the following matches, his strategies was easily countered, with Solar playing him out completely, and Solar securing his Grand Finals slots against PartinG successfully.
In the second round of the Ro4, we see sOs with his 2:0 win previously, going up against INnoVation, who was seen as the top favourite with his conditions, yet it was not expected that sOs with a aggressive mineral mining base strategy that disrupted the flow of INnoVation in the first round, and in the second round to reduce his opponent's supplies to beat INnoVation with a 2:0 score to qualify into the grand finals, shocking the audience into disbelief.
In the last game of the event, which is the Grand Finals, we see former champion Solar up against sOs, with a exciting ZvZ matchup to be played. The first round was successfully secured by sOs, and to specially mention that in the second round, Solar with a huge advantage had been completely outplayed by sOs's constant hit-and-run strategies against his structures, driving up the live audience's anticipations with applauses. In the last game, sOs with his huge unit supply advantage, wipes out Solar completely with a 3:0 score to secure the MSI Masters Gaming Arena Starcraft II Champion title, with him securing all 7 games without even dropping a single match to deserve the title of the undisputed Champion.
