MSI BEAT IT 2013 CS:GO eSports Tournament ended perfectly in impressively professional matches. The 2013 MSI BEAT IT CS:GO Champion went to VeryGames from France. The team also won grand cash prize 10,000 USD and 5 GE series high performance gaming notebooks. Fnatic and SK Gaming from Sweden won the 2nd and the 3rd places and walked away with 7,000 USD and 5,000 USD cash prizes.
Day 3 of MSI BEAT IT grand finals started with two semi-final matches— Fnatic vs. Vox Eminor and VeryGames vs. SK Gaming. Fnatic took down Australia's Vox Eminor 2-0 (16-6 on de_inferno & 16-3 on de_mirage). In another match which took place on the main stage, VeryGames had a hard beginning but eventually beat SK Gaming with 16-8 on de_nuke and 16-7 on de_dust2.
Coming up next was the most anticipated grand final between Fnatic and VeryGames. The crowd and fans clapped and waved, cheering up their favorite stars. In the 1st map de_dust2, VeryGames was pushing so hard for getting advantageous attacking positions, and they took a huge lead for 5:0 in the beginning. However, Fnatic remained calm and eventually even the scores at 5:4. During the following matches, Shoxie from VeryGames rapidly clinched triple kills and showed his skills and confidence. In round 25, which was a key match for Fnatic to reduce the score gap, captain Devilwalk stood out for his team and won the round by 13:12. In the end, Fnatic still couldn’t defeated the firepower from VeryGames and lost the very 1st round by 16:12.
Moving to the second round, Fnatic started with CT-side in map de_mirage, hoping to use a different strategy to make a comeback. However, VeryGames immediately took the lead again by 06:01 and forced Fnatic to take an eco strategy. Eventually they worked out with good respond and got 8 straight wins (06:09). In round 17, VeryGames was under less firepower and had only one teammate left. Impressively, VeryGames again presented a triple kill and took back 2 scores (08:09). Neither of the team had significant lead for a while (06:06, 09:09, 10:10). In the End, VeryGames took the championship (16:10), Fnaitc won 2nd Place, and SK Gaming the 3rd Place.
After three-month-long tournaments, MSI BEAT IT 2013 finally ended up in joy and happiness. The event this year attracted more than 100 professional teams from 5 continents. In future, MSI will again bring more exciting tournaments to game enthusiasts!
